1993 Cobra R #58
« on: Tuesday, August 16, 2011, 04:54 AM »
Well it is a never ending project... Here is my 93R, currently the trans it pulled. I just installed a new Quick Time Bell housing in the name of safety. I like having both feet working, plan to keep them that way. Special thanks to Bruce at Modern Driveline for hooking me up. He is also teaching/showing me how to properly rebuild my T5 so it will handle what I’m throwing at it.

I got the R re-tuned yesterday, added 19 ft-lbs of Rear wheel torque to entire curve. And what a nice power curve it is, Thanks Brent!!

Took the 93R to Spokane County raceway a month or so ago. Very fun track! Here is a vid shot from Brent's 2000R. It seems so slow on video, he catches me around the 10 min mark. At the end of the front straight I was hitting red line in 5th gear (0.80 OD), >140 mph. Anyone want some 3.73's? I need something taller to go faster.

Video edit was done by a friend, it was way to long. Could be better but it works.

Sweet video, man.  Looks like a blast.
Dragcar - '85 with an '88 facelift. Carbed 302, Moser 9" w/4.11, C4 2300 stall. She's still a little slow for a dedicated racer.
Daily Driver - '88 OSP SSP notch. Kenne Bell Blower, 5 Speed
